Safe preparation
Record the symptom, relevant warning lights and recent service history. Check the owner’s manual for the warning and approved routine checks. Only inspect visible areas with the car securely parked and the engine off when appropriate; avoid hot, moving or pressurized components.
Work that needs a professional
Brake or steering repairs, airbag systems, fuel systems and EV high-voltage components need qualified expertise. Torque values, fluids, wiring and calibration requirements depend on the exact vehicle; Tow2 should not invent those specifications.
- Ask how the fault will be confirmed before parts are replaced.
- Confirm the correct part and any calibration/registration after installation.
- Request a written scope, estimate and approval process for extra work.
Connect the diagnosis to a repair
Use the diagnosis report to ask clear questions, then let the mechanic’s tests determine the repair. Compare photos only for visible identification; suitability still requires supplier or manufacturer verification.
Keep confirmed findings and invoices. If a problem returns after work, explain the timeline to the workshop instead of assuming the same part failed. Find nearby mechanics or towing if the car cannot be driven safely.
